The Dunedin crew take on Orokanui - the home of Sirocco
Split over two days, the Crombie Lockwood Dunedin team, headed down to Orokanui to build a walking track.
The Orokonui Scenic Reserve is a 28-hectare tidal estuary at the base of Orokonui Valley, and the southern reach of Blueskin Bay. It is an important area for whitebait and wading birds.
Orokonui rely on volunteers to assist with the upkeep and help build new walking tracks.
To build the tracks motorised wheel burrows dumped gravel on the prepped walkway and the teams would rake it out and compact it.
"Over the two days the teams managed to complete 2ks of the 7k walking track which was an outstanding effort" said Mark Fraser, Executive Broker.
