For over 40 years Crombie Lockwood has been helping New Zealanders protect what’s important to them.
We’re proud Kiwis, and through our branch network, which reaches all corners of the country, we are active in caring for our communities. We back initiatives that enhance, protect and restore New Zealand, our people and the things that matter most to us.
Here’s a snapshot of some of the ways we're supporting New Zealanders and communities:
Crombie Lockwood Kiwi Burrow - We've partnered with Kiwis for kiwi to build a state of the art kiwi incubation facility near Taupo to open in late 2019.
Protecting the kākāpō - We provide Sirocco, one of the few remaining kākāpō in the world, and species’ ambassador, with extensive insurance protection. We're also supporting the work of Department of Conservation in the fight against aspergillosis, a respiratory fungal disease that has affected our native parrot.
Christchurch Arts Festival - Since 2012, we’ve supported the Christchurch Arts Festival to celebrate the arts and support Christchurch as a thriving and vibrant city.
Hospice help - Throughout the country we lend a hand to local hospices by volunteering time, fundraising and donating Christmas gifts to families.
Volunteering to protect and conserve the environment - Our team regularly heads out to assist with restoration and clean-up projects. We’ve potted seeds, removed weeds and planted trees in a number of locations. In aid of our native species we’ve volunteered at local wildlife sanctuaries and collected litter from beaches and wetlands.
